DDC-307 “Jack White, Seattle, 6/8/2022 - Blue Variant” Poster
DDC-307 “Jack White, Seattle, 6/8/2022 - Blue Variant” Poster
Product Description:
UP THE WAY IN SEATTLE: Got to do a poster for Jack White’s “2022 Supply Chain” tour! For 6/8/2022 Seattle show merch booth! Inspired by Jack’s love of bowling, and the often-illusive “Turkey” consisting of throwing three strikes in a row. We’re calling this one, “Throwing Turkeys.”
Leigh and I went and saw the 6/6/2022 big show a couple nights ago at the MODA Center here in Portland. And HOLY SHIT, it was fucking great. I own all the old White Stripes stuff. Love The Raconteurs. Know a couple Dead Weather jams here and there. I own all the Jack solo stuff, but only go a couple tracks deep on those. And yet, due to the POWER and SHOWMANSHIP of the whole thing, you suddenly know every song? It was just so big and powerful, from the first note it sucked you right in.
That Jack White is quite a handful. Every move seemed perfectly calculated and fit into the overall experience. The colors, the stage, the big multimedia backdrop. The screeches. And not in that shitty concert trope, “Hey ___(insert city)___, I can’t hearrrrr youuuu…” bullshit. These guys were PLAYING. And damn, that Daru guy on the drums? The best. We left very, very blown away.
Special thanks to Roe Peterhans and Sarah Stawski at Third Man Records for this opportunity to contribute to rock poster a JUGGERNAUT of rock-n-roll force, swagger and magic. Honored!
