I was nervous on that first call with Danner. I just have great respect for what they do and didn’t want to muddy up their thing with my thick lines designs. Logger boots on loggers. The real deal, there. So burly. Was I going to get a little too weird for the steel toe crowd?

And that’s precisely why Kate Maciejowski was calling! She had this cool Danner × Timbers collab thing in the works and needed some spirited merch designs. “Do your thing, Draplin!” It was such a relief and was so fun to dip myself into the boot world and soccer realms.
