NASA/JPL
I met Joby Harris at Adobe MAX in 2018. He was the visual strategist for NASA/JPL in Pasadena, making killer graphics for multiple missions, both in the works and floating in space. He had worked with Don Clark from Invisible Creature for their “Visions of the Future” poster series. Those broke the internet!
Joby hits me with this lyric in an e-mail: “What would be a dream project for you connected to space or NASA?” My first request was to be sent to Alpha Centauri. Second was ANYTHING HE NEEDED HELP WITH.
It’s been the honor of a lifetime to work for NASA/JPL, with the incredible Joby Harris (CLICK THIS NOW!) guiding my lift-off, orbiting and crash landings in my bathtub.
NASA “Voyager 2” Poster
Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, whizzing off into space. Armed with all the technology NASA could pack on board in 1977, along with The Golden Record.
In 2018 I got to do a poster celebrating Voyager 2’s leaving of the heliosphere some 11 billion miles from Earth.
You can order a version of this poster here!
From NASA:
”On Nov. 5, 2018, NASA's Voyager 2 became only the second spacecraft in history to leave the heliosphere - the protective bubble of particles and magnetic fields created by our Sun. At a distance of about 11 billion miles (18 billion kilometers) from Earth - well beyond the orbit of Pluto - Voyager 2 had entered interstellar space, or the region between stars.”
NASA “Deep Space Network” Posters
The colors on the posters symbolize the time of day at each of the three facilities. The three facilities are spaced approximately 120 degrees around the world. The Deep Space Network runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
