Been a fan of Chunklet going ALL THE WAY BACK to those mid-’90s! Of course I was going to do whatever project Henry Owings offered up. Of course. Oh, Henry!

The Indie Cred Test

This project was quite the undertaking. The couple images below just don’t do the thing justice. As a fan of Chunklet magazine back in the late ’90s and their sardonic minutiae I had to jump at the chance to get under the hood of this one.

Henry and I struck up some kind of “send me a bunch of records” working agreement he proceeded to fuckin’ bulldoze me with page after page of fleshed-out, brilliant, biting “Indie Cred” sarcasm. The first couple pages went quick, and then I started to figure out just what I got sucked into! And it was awesome. Designing all those pages, I got to more or less read the thing in its entirety and loved the whole brutal process. It was quite the undertaking and an impressive feat! I hope Indie music fans know this thing exists! Your cred is on the line! Fun times, H₂0!

Project Details:
01. Mapped out a look and feel with Chunklet’s Henry Owings, then attacked page after page of data. It was endless.

Technically, this section should have it’s own section above, right? Doesn’t feel right. The band didn’t hit me up. Henry did, so Chunklet deserves the nod for giving me a shot.
