Salomon Snowboards

I remember when Bend’s Josh Dirksen got on the Salomon team. Somewhere in the late ’90s. This was one of the first ski companies that made the leap into the shred world. They were the new hot ticket, backed by all that skiing money. And, proven technology. And I remember it being a bit of a threat to all the snowboard companies. That dissipated pretty quick, delivering dependable gear and a world-class team in the mag and video.

And twenty years later, they’re still at it, which is pretty damned cool. Longevity is a tough thing in the snowboard industry, and hats off to Salomon for still doing it.
