Leah Draplin

My baby sister.

I held my baby sister Leah the day she was born. Little Leah. I remember the call from Dad at the hospital as clear as day: “It’s a girl!” Sarah and I were over at the Youngedyke’s next store playing with little Drew waiting the day out when the call came. We jumped in their minivan and raced to Munson Hospital to see Mom and meet my new little sister. 40-ish years later, and she’s grown into such an incredible mom to Oliver, partner to Jacob and busy bee nail tech. She had a rough year in 2024, beating the shit out of colon cancer, and we’re so impressed by her strength and grit and are BEYOND relieved she’s gonna be okay after all. Yay, yay and yay!
