Super Deluxe

It’s hard to write this one. And here’s why: Looking at these photos, I get really hungry. As proud of Super Deluxe as I am, some days these shots of our delicious burgers are a horror show of temptation that I want for every meal.

As these words go to print, we have three locations in Portland. Southeast Portland, Pearl District and Sherwood! With new locations in the works.

Special thanks to Matt Lynch, David Nakamoto for the opportunity to be a part of such a cool project. Super Deluxe is delicious. My favorite part about the place? You go there on a Tuesday afternoon, and you’ll see construction guys eating. Regular people, enjoying a delicious burger. My kind of place.

I could go for some of those tasty nugs right now! Damn.

Super Deluxe Identity

Project Details:
01. Identity for Super Deluxe, in cahoots with my buddy David Nakamoto and owner Matt Lynch. I’m feeling generous. Let’s just say it this way. “Barely under the direction of David Nakamoto.”
02. The Powell & 50th location opened
in the summer of 2018, with new locations opening soon after.

Gotta come clean about mountain of stuff below. I’d be quite the cretin to not mention the staggering amount of work David Nakamoto has put into this project. Sure, I did the logo and type and suggested colors. But beyond that, the stuff is ALL DAVE. The signage, the menus, the merch, the videos with Shelby…right down to the cool maps below showing the new locations. That’s David. Sure, he’d hit me up to have me weigh in on a design or tweak something for him, but that was him breaking little bits off for me to help with. Just want to be crystal clear about this.
