Gnu Snowboards

My Grenade Gloves buddy Tim Karpinski got me into Gnu. I knew Pete Saari from my time at Snowboarder Magazine. They were advertisers and I was a big fan. Would’ve been around 1997 when I traded Matt Whitlock for a Gnu snowboard, just down the street from Travis Yamada. Rode the shit out of that stick the winter of 1997-1998. Right up there with Lib Tech, Gnu were regional heroes. To get to do a couple boards for them? So damned cool. Thank you, Pete and Pinski!
