Rumblefish

We used to work downtown in the Olympic Mills building on Southeast 3rd and Stark. With my older “brothers” John “Goo” Phemister and Dave Nakamoto. We had this awesome 5th floor space that looked northeast over the city, with the Burnside Bridge in view as well as Mount Hood to the east. We were there from 2009–2018.

Every now and again I’d ride the elevator with Paul Anthony from Rumblefish. We’d trade notes on our lives and the latest Portland news, and I’d jump off at the 5th floor. Always a sweet guy.

Then one day he hits me up to do a rebrand for Rumblefish. And all that time, I never quite knew just how big a splash he’d made in that world. It was awesome to learn how far and wide he’d taken it. He quickly got me up to speed, and we developed the icon you see below. It’s awesome to see it chugging along to this day.
