Pete Krebs

I’ve been a fan of Pete Krebs all the way back to the Hazel years in 1993. In fact, the first record I bought when I came to town was Toreador of Love at Ozone Records on West Burnside.

Couple summers back I started taking guitar lessons from Pete. I mean, come on, the guy will take on just about ANY challenge, considering the skill level that showed up that first session? I am a mess on that fretboard. He was patient, and weathered by multiple barrages of questions at each lesson. Hell, we’d just sit and talk. Pete’s a calming guy and let me inside his world. With incredible guitar knowledge and just the right amount of side-eye to keep me in line, I sure do appreciate it all, man.

To all the “cowboy chords” strummers out there: You are on notice. Pete taught me some new stuff!
