Anthony Lakes had a mythical quality to the place. As a broke-ass snowboarder at Mt. Bachelor in Bend, only the luckiest of our buddies made it to Mt. Bailey to do the snowcat thing, and ever rarer, was able to get all the way out to Anthony Lakes. For whatever reason, I thought it was an exclusive place? The myth-making got the best of us.

You just gotta whip east on I-84 and take exit 285 into the mountains.
