Vintage Memo
Book Gallery
Field Notes in general owe their existence to a tradition of promotional memo books distributed to American farmers over the last hundred years by seed, tractor, and other agricultural companies.
I had been collecting these vintage books for years, “rescuing them” from obscurity. In 2009, I got them all into a big pile and assembled a crackpot team to help me organize, scan and clip them into some semblance of a collection. That’s what you are seeing below.
Professionally sorted, scanned in and clipped by the excellent Eric Lovejoy and lovely Leigh McKolay. With coding help by Field Notes’ incomparable Joe Dawson Jr.
