Smith Optics

This is one of the collabs I’ve been lucky to do that haunts me a bit. See, I had Smith goggles back in the day. Paid good money for the things in Bend, Oregon. They took a beating, and many a landing blowout.

And to be able to make these some twenty- five years later? Excited as I was to be involved, honored as I was to have gotten the call from my buddies at Smith here in Portland and impressed by how well they turned out, there was a bittersweet element to it…

I just wish I could’ve used these on the hill, back when it counted for me. I rode Mt. Bachelor for five winters from 1993-1998. So someday, on some astral plane, when I am allowed to rewind and relive my early years…I’m bringing these goggles back with me! So fucking cool.
