The Raconteurs
My buddy Patrick Keeler hit me up with these, and that shifted over to Roe Peterhan at Third Man Records. Really, any Jack White-related, and it’s gonna be a banger thing. Seeing the album design come together with sneak peeks from Patrick, and then how all that green flowed through the marketing, record and tour? Super impressive. Hell, I’d go just to watch Patrick play those drums! Fun projects for a rippin’ sing act!

Seeing the band at
Edgefield in Portland!
FROM OUR POST ON JULY, 22, 2019: Had a fun time at The Raconteurs tonight! Got to see the ROCK up close from the side of stage, nerding out over road cases, duct tape standing zones and guitar tech stations. And the funnest part? Seeing the faces of the crowd light the hell up with each move from the band.
🧤
Leigh and I got to go ALL THE WAY BACKSTAGE as one can go, and got to shoot the shit with the band, eat with the crew and make some new buddies. Thank you, Patrick Keeler!
🧤
Got to talk to my very favorite Drive-By Trucker, Mr. Patterson Hood. What a mountain of a man…in sweetness, talent and spirit. Highlight of the day, sir!

I’m so glad we went. It’s easy to forget the power of a rock show. Takes a lot to get me out to a show, and that’s embarrassing. Went and saw Spiritualized a couple years ago and had some kid spill a beer on me as he was walking by. I remember thinking, “Fuck this, I’d rather just be at the house listening to the record.”
Tonight, I got a nice reminder of how powerful rock-n-roll can be. Yay.
