Aftermath
It was one thing to write, shoot and design the book...and a completely off-balance, pins and needles situation when it was printed. Then to take it out on the road like we did? After a year and a half of wildness, things came to weird rest. It’s been a blast watching each printing edition leapfrog what I was told by the experts over the years. And, see what folks had to say about it on reviews, comments and loose hearsay. The book happened, and it certainly exists…and I can feel it breathing out there each and every day! I sure do appreciate all those numbers, and each person who writes in about it. Thank you!
Printing Status
As these words go to print, the DDC book is officially in its 13th printing. And that’s awesome, improbable and surreal. And if you know me, you know this kind of “numbers flexing just isn’t my thing. Big numbers was NEVER the pursuit in this endeavor. I just wanted to make sure the thing was affordable. And, not be a big ol’ flop. And remember, a well-meaning expert at Abrams Books told me I’d “be lucky” to do a second printing. And I remember that sounding pretty cool. Like I knew any better? Thank you to everyone who bought one, and to all the new folks who keep this thing going!
DDC Book Reviews
Here we go! Thank you to everyone who took the time to write reviews, comment on Amazon or write me with your thoughts, comments, praise, warnings, criticisms and a couple times, downright nasty missives. All part of the deal, I guess. Wanted to get them in this section, while they still existed. As these words go to print, it’s been eight years since the book came out! How much longer will these links live? Hard to say.
