National Cyber
Security Agency
What I remember most about this one was this: listening to the administrators talking about how old folks get scammed in the simplest of ways. Sure, there’s the old phone call phishing thing with simple but devastating misdirection tricks. But the scariest stuff is the stuff that goes down online. So much of our lives are lived and run online. And hell, it’s hard for me to spot this stuff, and think about my mom trying to make sense of data, logins and subtle threats? She’s a smart cookie, but no human can keep up with how quickly this stuff is evolving.
This agency was putting in the work to protect people, and I was honored to help out.
Thank you for this opportunity, Brad Goldthwaite! One solid Wisconsite, right there, you betcha.
