Under The Weather: A Battle
After doing errans today around town, I dropped Ryno off on upper Hawthorne and made my way home to work the rest of the day. Now, the whole weekend I had some sort of headache deal going on, where, whenever I looked up (keeping my head stationary and still, only moving my eyes), or up and over to the right or left, I had this weird, dull ache that seemed to be right behind my eyeballs. Kind of scary. Head cold? Sinus trouble? Onset of blindness? Then today, Im just feeling groggy and unmotivated. I had a ton of stuff to tear into, but just couldnt get going. Now, this is where things get interesting. Suddenly, my head takes on this odd, cloudy feelinglike everything is sort of slow and dreamy around me. My balance felt a little skewed too, as I made my way up the stairs to go try and sleep it off.Well, I laid there for a good hour, feeling completely outta my head. Then I grabbed my little digi-thermometer and checked the oil underneath my tongue:102.5 degrees! My head ached, my neck was on fire, my shoulders ached, I was cold and hot at the same timeWhere the fuck had this come from? I was out of it. Detached. Down for the count. Little bit scared too.Luckily, Ryno nursed me back to health with some sort of cold/sinus/flu pills from the supermarket. I never take the stuff, preferring to just let the ol DDC constitution battle the issue on its own. These things worked. The fever broke a couple hours later, I did a little sweating (that cold sweat stuff) and now feel a little worn out and loopy, but, sorta back to normal. Its just amazing what yer body will go through, here and there. Amazing, and scary. Any insight on what this might have been is appreciated. Did I have some sort of fever? I really dont know.- - - -Tomorrow, I'm gonna get back into it and get some work done. Knock on wood, knock on wood.- - - -Oh yeah. In other news, my parents got an iSight today. More of this sort of trouble to follow, we'd bet. (That's my dad "showing a little crack" to express the love he feels for me.)
