HELL FREEZES OVER: Something happened to me while making that “Dinosaur Jr 30th Anniversary Bowery Ballroom Shows” poster back in 2015. Some kind of “purple portal” opened to make that poster, and somehow, this little “HELL YEAH” patch made it through too. We just went with it, trusting in J’s instincts.

I know I’ve got choice things to say about purple, but know this: I’ve always let it slide with “all things Dinosaur Jr.” And when we got the call up to the big leagues to make that poster, we braced ourselves for the inevitable: This project is going to require purple. And if it’s right for the project, then that’s the way we go with our design. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Still don’t trust purple, but hey, I’m reaching across the aisle, er, swatchbook to make things better. Things are getting weird around these parts. HELL YEAH!
