Make Believe

Minneapolis’ Jim Marson comes in hot with these incredible DDC sign studies up above. Man. I don’t know where to start, so you know, I’m just gonna keep my trap shut, and take in just how FUCKING GREAT they are, and, the place they take me too. I’ve pulled into late night gas stations/convenience stores/diners like that a million times. In the middle of Nevada or Utah or wherever in The Big West. The blackest nights you’ve ever seen, and then, a little beacon of light in the distance. Kinda haunting. See, there I go? Lips flapping.
Jim does environmental and architectural design for Black Design in Minneapolis. He’s also a fellow MCAD guy. He rips the shit out of the open road on mean motorcycles. I met him at my art show in Minneapolis with his buddy Scott Thares of Wink. We prob’ly already went over this on this blog, but like I care. Good people, all around.
Anyway, those studies are the best thing I’ve see “all fall long.” Hands down.
Shhh. Okay, I’ll stop. Thank you, Jim!
