Outfitting The Old Elf
So Dad's out here for a couple weeks, reuniting with his beautiful bride, to hang with Baby Oliver. There's been no shortage of cooing, drooling and squirming. And Oliver's handling himself okay, too.I've been working up a couple cards for the old man, you know, for his Santa duties. He plays Santa back in Traverse City each December for the city, the homeless and needy, and the random private party. Hell, sometimes the sumbitch just wears the suit around the house. Cuz that's how he rolls.Made him some cards, and picked them up from the printer this morning, y'know, for a client meeting with Dad this afternoon. And that's what yer seeing above. The handing off of the the cards to the old elf. Inspection, tasting (?) and approval. Just like that. Now he's some some credentials to hand out.- - - -OUR SO-CALLED "WORK" SHOWS UP ON ONE OF OUR FAVORITE SITES: The DDC shows up on Grain Edit, and some guy calls my foot a Yeti. Love that site.- - - -LATE LAST NIGHT: Leigh and I watched We Live In Public, and speaking for myself, it was yet another one of those almost shameful self-introspection things where I wonder if I should just crawl off into the wilderness, free of all electronic wizardry. Then I went to Fail Blog and forgot about it.- - - -MARK PHILLIPS AND HIS AMAZING GRAPHIC ARTS: Here's Mark's recommendation for "DDC redesign." Nice work, buddy. It's got legs. Tell me about it...- - - -A LINK FROM PORTLAND'S BOB SMITH: Check out this 1952 Soap Box Derby helmet graphic. Man. Incredible. Just like Bob Smith. Thumbs up!- - - -ON THE PLAYER:01.
