Had a blast this morning hammering around town picking up all the goodies for Record Store Day. I am a lucky man. I got a copy of every thing I wanted to grab. I almost missed it too, as the forces were out in full effect, and things were kinda frenzied. The scene at Music Millenium was hilarious. Middle-aged "turn and burn" record hucksters fighting over the limited edition Jay Reatard/Sonic Youth split. It's a wonder-full world.So it goes. Microeconomies, collecting stuff for future profits. Keeps the vinyl world spinning, I guess.Nevertheless, it was fun to wait in line, make a dash for a stack of Jesus Lizard 7-inches, and then play couple last night as the sun set on 67th Avenue.Here's the stuff that's been on the player over the last 4-5 months or so.SPRING LISTENING LIST:01.
