Here's what was on my radar this historic morning:- Large masses of people, all working together to keep things safe.- Tears streaming down the face of an elderly black woman.- Cheers, laughter and yells.- Booing Bush one last time.- Wishing I was a foot taller.- Thinking about Presdient Obama, and his family.- Thinking about Vice-President Biden, and his family.- Thinking about the living presidents on stage.- 2.5 million people. And how lucky I was to be one of them.- How the whole world was watching that Capital.- 1776.- The forefathers.- Civil Rights leaders.- Civil Right martyrs.- Simple, courageous acts of civil disobedience.- My mom and dad and sisters back home in Michigan.- How relieved I was to have Bush off the job.- The pomp.- The history.- The honor.- Patrolling jets, and the spider web of security watching the Capital.- Tired feet.- Inspired hearts.- The power, and possibility.- Muhammad Ali, and where he was sitting up on that stage.- Absolutely no mention of Senator McCain. Or Palin. Of Republicans.- How good I feel about all of this.- Just how the rest of the world feels about us, and where we could go.- Cell phones, and networks pushed to the limit.- Honest Abe Lincoln, and his continued reach through the ages.- The technology in the Presidential Limo "USA1".- How cool Obama is, and how cool that is for the rest of us.- Michele and her grace.- The littlest Obama girl Sasha, and that big smile.- What it would have like to meet Obama, years back.- Joe Biden's facelift.- Cheney's snarl, and how he can fuck right off back to Wyoming.- Obama's smile, and how he how welcomed he is into it all.- Little kids on shoulders, and how they'd remember this day.- What a great country this is...- ...and with some work, how much better it could be.Here's my take on this one: DDC vs. DC, Day 06
