My favorite Lego set of all time: 497 - Galaxy ExplorerThis was the set that put me over the edge at six! I can still remember how cool the cargo area was, and, the absolute awesomenes of the little computers that were in the little station! The best. This is what my childhood was about: Legos.My finest memory of this chapter was when dad, Sarah and I would spill everything out into a big pile, and then we'd build a tower out of everything, right down to the last Lego.Well, except for one feisty little stray, which, of course, was the sharpest one, which, for whatever reason would find its way into dad's heel in the middle of the night when he was walking across our living room floor to go pee or something. "Aaaaaronnnnn!" Ha.- - - -Here's a bigger shot of that ship and the original building instructions!And just in case you've been living under a rock since 1979: Here you go. Pure awesome.
