Monday, And We Pledge, "Change"

Now, there's some talk about my curmudgeon ways, usually resulting in bets on whether or not "I'll show up at something..." and other how we "don't get out enough." Hmmm. 17 weeks on the road in the last eight months ain't too shabby. But, we take the prodding to heart. Fuckers, we're working hard (our usual problem) to change our focused, feast-or-famine, fight-or-flight ways. Our goal for the summer: To get out more. Lots more.- Monthly trips to spend a night on the ocean. Goo's got some land and I plan on exploiting it this summer with some bonfires.- More backyard time. Might actually water the grass this summer. The new fence means we can hang back there with little fretting, as Gary is properly corraled. No more breaches from the little man.- First Thursday/Last Thursday outings. Good chance to see some art downtown, and some wildness on Alberta. I went the other night and saw this hippie/cruster/beggar girl yelling for her dog, half-cocked on warm beer: "Mellow, where are you?! Mellow?" A dog named, "Mellow." Wow.- Less work, more chill. Gary and I poach the golf course just before sundown for some fetch, and man, he loves the grass. Kinda against the rules, but, fuck it.- More "Snell time." More "Kass time." More "Coulter time." More "Fasil time." More "Floyd time."These are some summer goals. Our pledge. Dig it.- - - -All this talk about "getting out more: The Suburba Car.- - - -The Body Type Book. Wow. Something we've talked about at length.
