Brian Johnsen used to say something along the lines of, "Draplin, Someone is the hammer, and someone is the anvil." My first gocco card dealt with exactly this, from way back in 1998. Inspired by the viewing of a difficult exchange between "professor" and fellow student, completely shellshocked, I built up a card to say hello from my new and intense academic adventure.I loved that autumn. One of my favorites. That big city was so full of possibility to me. I didn't know anyone, and, as challenging as that was, blending into the city was strangely refreshing.- - - -And for the record, Brian Johnsen can kiss our asses. Take that, sweaty Singapore.
