PUSHING OFF
My time at home has been so good. Taking it easy with mom and dad, enjoying the meals and tube and gen'l laying around. It's nice to not do anything after so many weeks of "pedal-to-the-metal."Speaking of which, in an hour or so I'm heading back out west. Melissa's virgin white chariot is taking one last breather before I put gas to metal and metal to fire and fire to road and road to hell as I push off outta Northern Michigan.Mr. Okins got the little rig souped up for the mission perfectly. A couple of new meats on the front, a lube job and a firm handshake wishing us well. Many thanks. We hope we make it unscathed. Lots of road there. From mom and dad's pad, well over 2500 miles. We estimate a good, hearty, swerving, three days of the open road between us and our Portland home.Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho and Oregon. Motherfucker. Thanks to the Midwest for a couple good weeks.
