This one was fun because I got to reconnect with my old snowboard buddy Travis Rice. The project kicked with the backcountry.com guys over email and I quickly hopped on a call with Travis to get briefed.

I don’t follow the shred world all that much anymore, so when he asked me what I thought about his Natural Selection Tour, I was ashamed to tell him this was the first I was hearing about it. A couple clicks around and I quickly realized how big of deal it was! Beautiful website, product galore and world class rides taking shit by the reigns and making it all their own.

I was so impressed how he was running his business. I met him when he was just an 18-year-old kid and exploding in the snowboarding world. Like 2004?! And I couldn’t shake that aside from when he came to my talk in Jackson Hole in 2017, the last time I saw the guy he was on Conan O’Brien! So damned cool.
