ANOTHER LATE POST: What can I say? We’re busy as shit. We’re in the middle of our annual Coal Headwear 100-pager catalog, some feisty logos, a DVD package, t-shirt graphixxx, and just to add fuel to the fire, earlier this afternoon, the shop was overrun by 18 Montana State Graphic Design students and two Montana State Graphic Design professors. A tough crowd! Nah, they were the sweetest group of Montanans you’d ever meet. Wide-eyed and smiling. I told some tall tales about how I work, showed some work, and threw other kinds of so-called “work” under the bus, just letting it fly. Hopefully I didn’t skew too many minds. They gave me good reviews on the spot. Plus, they bought a mountain of DDC merch at cut-rate prices. Hell yes. Nice to meet you Meta and Stephanie! Go at the world’s throat! Thank you, young grasshoppers, so full of hope, fire and stamina. That means you: Spencer, Wit, Susan, Ian, Sparky, Half Pint, Lazy Joe and Montana Marty. And all the others who came by and behaved so well. Good, clean fun. And damn, check out their logo up above! Pretty awesome. Some school logos just plain suck. Not Montana State! There’s some proof for you. Go Bozeman! - - - - OH YEAH, IT’S AS GOOD TIME AS ANY: Check out the new Coal Headwear site! The good Seattlists of BKWLD drove this one for us, and man, the thing is a real beauty. They’re even featuring us on their site right now. Cool stuff. Proud as hell. Check both the Coal and Considered side of things, then, go buy a hat. It’s getting cold out, people. Hell yeah, Brad! Congrats on this one to all the Coal people in Seattle. And thanks again to Tafolla and BKWLD for guiding us through the forest on this one. Appreciated. There Are 2 Comments
Fuck yeah! It’s nice to see that my alma mater FINALLY took my advice and plotted a collision course w/the DDC. Thanks for being such an awesome host Draplin! Posted by: Mike Kirkpatrick on 10/28/10 at 11:47 AM
