OKLAHOMA CITY, TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT: We’ve been patiently waiting for this night for years! Tonight we get to tell our WHOLE STORY to the good fuckers of Oklahoma City! You know who you are. Some tall tales. Some laffs. Some weird shit. Some dumb shit. Big words. Small words. A fully-stocked merch table with “Oklahoma City Only” prices, cosmic ideas, vectors, long dogs, sweat, large men breaking down in tears, hot air, family photos, heritage, bonafide examples of graphic design, love, hate, exhilaration, nerdy type jokes and whatever the fuck else we can pack into an hour. Be there, Oklahoma City. We mean business. - - - -
Here’s the official link: The DDC vs. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! And the AIGA link: The official AIGA Oklahoma event link! Thursday, November 21st ALL OKLAHOMANS ARE INVITED. - - - - WE MADE A POSTER, LIKE WE OFTEN DO: We made a poster with “eveything we’ve ever loved about the great state of Oklahoma!” What we always do. No surprise, right? Well, this one was inspired by red dirt, those goddamn Flaming Lips, cowboy stuff, Woody Guthrie, Cornel West, John Moreland, that panhandle and whatever else we could slam into this one. It’s a lot of stuff. We’re calling it “Oklahoma Overload” and we’ll be offering them for sale at the show tonight. Get one! Spruce up that prairie hut, or that flat downtown, or hell, this could work at The Womb Gallery in the break room out back, or in some oil/gas high rise office, or in the pisser at Pink Floor Studios, or lining the ceiling of the BitConfused offices. Hard to say. Works well in all Oklahoma scenarios. Snag one tonight, Oklahoma City! There Are 3 Comments
I’ve been waiting for the Oklahoma poster! Is it available online??? Posted by: K# on 11/21/13 at 9:53 AM
Going to need one of those Okie posters post haste! Have fun in my home state. OKC is a bit of a wasteland, but I suppose we can’t all be from Tulsa. -TCB Posted by: Thomas Bradley on 11/21/13 at 4:46 PM
