KINDA EXCITED: Swervedriver’s in town tonight. Got a ticket for it, too. Wasn’t gonna miss this one. I saw them back in ‘91 and ‘97. Loved their stuff all through those wild ’90s. Owned ALL of it.

Raise is a special one for me. It reminds me of my very first solo road trip down to Detroit. In my Buick Skyhawk and sure, the thing was a hunk of shit, but with Raise on, it felt like a rocket…at the whopping 58 mph or whatever I was doing on I-75 down to the Motor City. I remember the sun coming up in Grayling and blasting this record. 1991.

Building blocks in my stupid, little life I think about each time I listen to these English pedalhoppers.
