THE CONFERENCE STARTED TODAY: I saw a bunch of cool presentations, met a bunch of cool folks, saw James White of Signalnoise destroy whatever Hilton Convention room we were in, ate lunch with a couple roughnecks from Rochester, N.Y., ate supper with a bunch of spirited design folks, then worked late on posters, posters and posters. Our little life here in Toronto. It’s killing me to have all this new vinyl around and not be listening to it. I’ve listened to the new Spiritualized album about 14 times in here. It’s late and I’ve got a hunger messing with me. That’s dumb. Still haven’t turned the TV on in the room, which is fine. I usually use it like a radio. Not this time. Just jammin’ tunes. - - - - TOMORROW, CONFERENCE PEOPLE: I’ll be giving my spirited “Tall Tales From A Large Man” presentation in the big room, and I’m hoping the place is packed. Hell, the :HTML5 discussion across the way is quite a draw too. Competition. Roll the dice on the DDC, you fuckers! Come laugh with and at us, as we do our best to prove to you that we belong here, and other places. Plus, we’ll have a VICIOUSLY STOCKED merch table FILLED with stuff THAT YOU REALLY NEED to survive the upcoming SUMMER and FALL. Come say hello. Buy a poster or some Field Notes or something orange from the DDC. “Toronto Only” prices. Can’t be beat. - - - - ON THE PLAYER: 01. Spiritualized - Huh? There Are 4 Comments

Hi Aaron, Just wanted to say thanks again for your contribution to the panel yesterday at FITC. It was a great injection of humility and honesty, which I found inspiring. Maybe one day I’ll have enough bling to hire you to do a tour poster. Safe travels back to Portland! Posted by: Kat Burns on 04/26/12 at 8:05 AM
