LOTS OF WISCONSIN ON THE RADAR: Music, news, records worked on, Wisconsin tweets, wondering, old logos. And I can’t remember where I found this button? Might’ve horked it off someone’s site. If I did, it was in the spirit of “I can’t leave that shit behind” and now, I’m sharing it with the world. Hope you guys dig it. Would make a nice t-shirt.

It’s a great button. What makes it appealing is the fact that the state outline was hand-drawn and is kind of gloopy, the type was probably rubbed off of transfer sheets and then photostat’d at some point (lending it a pleasing roundness and off-kilter alignment), the blazing orange is a spot color and not some half-assed CMYK composite, and then there’s that little oval on the side that means it was printed with pride by a union shop somewhere. Most of these things rarely happen anymore. Sure you could whip something similar out in Illustrator in a few minutes and lazer-print it, but it wouldn’t have 1/4 the charm of this.
