TIME’S-A-TICKIN’, TOWARDS A FLIGHT TO MIDDLE AMERICA: We’re coming for you, MIZZOU! And we’re bringing our goddamned “A Game!” Be ready. DDC vs. MIZZOU! Us, up on a stage. Lots of sweat. Lots of hot air. Small ideas. Big ideas. Orange stuff. Tall tales. DDC Merch at cut-rate prices. Things that might make you shed a tear, or, walk the fuck out. Hard to say. Know this: This one’s official, and in nine hours, we’re loading our big carcass onto a plane headed right for you. Seriously. Gonna be a fun one. - - - - THIS IS HOW THE GOVERNMENT USED TO TALK TO US: With incredible posters. Here’s a collection of old WPA posters that should make you think. About what America used to be like, what it’s like now, how things were fucked back then, and better now…and…how it’s the inverse regarding graphics. Big thoughts. Go America! (Thank you for sending this one in, Seth Olsen!) - - - - KITTYCORNER TO THE DDC’S DOGGYCORNER: Our “partner in business” and “buddy” David Nakamoto of Multifresh and Wilderness went and made a record cover for Tim Hecker, and they get into it on Pitchfork about it. Cool shit. Got to see the whole process, right down to the painstakingand beautifuldamaging of the type. Hell yes. Bravo. - - - - THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU THANK: To every arctic beast who purchased one of our Alaska posters! A North Slope of appreciation is felt. Sold a shit on of the things yesterday, and they are tubed up, and Dale, that pile of fuck, is shipping them Thursday. By the hand of Dale.” I like the sound of that. Thanks again. We’ve still got a cache left, so act now! - - - - ON THE PLAYER: 01. Dinosaur Jr. - Green Mind There is One Comment
I’m fucking pissed. I wanted to make this so bad. I was supposed to be riding up with Kyle DeWitt, but unfortunately I had some client work I needed to finish up. Your “Why America is Fucked” video hits home for me so hard. I always throw up a flurry of “shits” and “fucks” when I find evidence of shit like this. Shitty, Kodak disposable camera photography at $8,000 a shoot pissed me off, too. Anyway. Next time you’re around I’m going to be there. Posted by: Matthew Miller on 02/11/11 at 11:32 AM
