THANK GOD FOR BILL ZINDEL: He comes in with some sweet links, and saves the goddamn day. Here’s a nice, little collection of “Czech matchbox labels.” Kinda makes you want to start smoking, then, hop in a time machine heading back to 1961 or whatever, just to enjoy the labels in those boxes. An idea to ponder. (Thanks, Bill!)

ACTUALLY WAS PRETTY GOOD: When You’re Strange. A documentary about those Doors.

It’s cool to hate on the Doors, right Dale? I always liked them. My apologies. All that grainy archival footage of Morrison is intoxicating. Maybe he was a turd. Maybe he was a visionary? After all, he was a Lizard King. Don’t know what I’m talking about. What I got from the doc was how innocent things were back then, and how, on one side of the world you can be blowing up in Los Angeles, and the other side of the world, something completely different, and indifferent. Today, the same shit pops up then pops up everywhere, like, instantly. Yawn. We dug this documentary. Take that, Dale.
