It’s June the 1st and we thought we do a little Gary Update. But instead of lying through our teeth with words, we made a little movie. Moving pictures. Our first movie we’ve ever made, actually. Used iMovie, and frankly, was blown away at how quick it came together. Incredible stuff.

This one’s for you, G-Unit!

THIS GUY’S GOT THE WORST LUCK: The story of Jay Floyd’s ape wallet, held in a back pocket on his ape ass.

Every time I talk to this turkey, he’s lamenting about his truck being broken into, or his wife’s car being stripped down to the frame, or how he needs new racing tires for his motorcycle, or stitches for a wound, or papercuts, or killer bees or whatever. Jay Floyd is a walking hex. Stay away from him.

ARRIVING TONIGHT, RIGHT INTO PORTLAND: Dad!

And on another note, it turns out that my dad is officially back “in style.” I’ve noticed a rise in hip fucks sporting Sperry Topsiders around town. I guess that shit’s back. Well, my dad’s been “rocking” those brown beasts for as long as I can remember. That’s his jam. So, he’d fit in real nice in Brooklyn or wherever, hanging out with smart guys from Vampire Weekend. Pffft.

Wait the “preppy yacht look” is passĂ©? I’m confused. A buddy who lives in New York had this to say, “Everyone looks like lumberjacks out here.” Hard to keep up with the style wars. Yawn.

BRITISH PETROLEUM CAN SUCK IT: Greenpeace has a big set of BP identity redesigns on Flickr going.

Here’s my favorite of the bunch. And here’s one that gets a nod for “freehand mastery.”

(Sent in by Pete Brook. Thanks, man.)

TEENAGERS VS. FLAMING LIPS: Ian Quigley interviews Wayne, and it’s awesome.

ON THE PLAYER:

01. Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
02. Jay Reatard - Night of Broken Glass
03. The Stooges - Fun House
04. Battles - Mirrored

I never thought the day would come when we’d get to the topic of boat shoes. I should have known it was inevitable.

Rant and a half comin your way via the email.

Gary just sauntered over to watch his debut! He approves.
It has been pretty amazing watching his once lifeless legs respond.
We say: “Use your legs Gary!”
And he does-
just
like
that.

That Gary is one tough SOB! Great video. Very Inspirational! You two are lucky to have connected. Someone else may have given up on Gary after his accident, but you guys hung in there. The world needs more people like Aaron and more dogs like Gary.
