The ever-impressive Steve Juras comes in real hot with an amazing logo to start the week.

Here’s what he had to say, “The attached image is the unofficial flag of the Armia Krajowa (“Home Army”) that bears the Kotwica (Polish for “anchor”), an emblem of the Polish struggle for independence against the German occupation back in the day.”

Heavy times, back then. Really makes you think. Makes me feel pretty goddamn lucky.

Incredible, man. There’s Polish blood running through these veins! DziÄ™kujÄ™, Swiderski Institute!

MORE PROOF, PEOPLE: That talk was pretty fun. Here’s what it looked like from Leigh’s perspective: “Draplin Speaks.”

AMIDST BIG CONTAINERS, OUT ON THE OPEN SEAS: Life and Work on a Container Ship. That first photo? Wow. (Via Embry’s twitter feed thing.)

YEAH SURE, WE’VE BEEN HERE BEFORE: Razor Blade Packaging Boxes. But it’s been awhile. Get in there, and don’t get cut! (Hell of a link, Couchman! Thanks!)

SEEING CHUCK LAST WEEK PUT ME OVER THE EDGE: New guitar time. Finally. An American Telecaster. Starting the hunting process this week, as time allows. Been playing one over at Portland Music every couple days over the last couple weeks. It’s time to get serious. Seeing Mr. Prophet slay it on his Telecaster last week was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Emerald City Guitars in Seattle, but if not you must stop by next time you’re up there. A great place owned by one of the nicest fellas you’ll ever meet (Jay Boone). FILLED with yummy slabs of twangy noise makers.
