TONIGHT, PORTLAND!: AIGA Designspeaks with the DDC! We’re calling the thing, “Tall Tales From A Large Man.” Pretty much sums it up. I’m big. These tales are tall. I’ll be telling my story, all the way back to my beginnings in Michigan, how I got out West, how I “threw it all away” so many times, and somehow, managed to carve a meager living out of the whole mess. I’ll be showing work, telling some stories about logos, calling out friends and other general inappropriateness. Small words. Big idea. Really, really orange. Large men. Long dogs. Booze. People smarter than you. People dumber than you. Dirty looks. Lots of Futura Bold. A big goddamn table full of DDC Merch, you know, to get us through the winter months. Laughs. Fun. Things to look at. Graphic arts. Desktop publishing. Freehand drawings. Many luminaries will be in attendance. Fuckin’ better be. THE FINE PRINT: The Cleaners at the Ace Hotel See you there, or be added to our ever-growing “shit list.” We’re taking down names. Real excited. Gonna give it my all. If I fail, I quit. I’ll go back to washing dishes in Alaska. That’s a safe bet. There Are 8 Comments

I was there. It was awesome. Thanks for being so cool and so honest, Aaron. I hate sandals at weddings, too. Posted by: Megan Clark on 12/10/09 at 9:49 PM
