The image above is a crop from an image Eric Baker of New York City sent out yesterday in his daily “Today” missive. Who the hell know where he found it. No idea. But man, check out that kick-ass triton-thing(?,) and the flames, and the colors, and the type, and hell, all of it. Too many things to look at.

DAYWRECKER WARNING: Derek Schille, you little bugger. You find some pretty cool shit, and you don’t hoard it. For that, we’re proud and thankful for yer contributions to this halfwit blog. Okay, enough of that.

Here’s a link that could mess you up good: Alloy Artifacts.

Here’s where “things went to hell” for the DDC. Get yer ass inside this link and revel in how awesome it is: Alloy’s Artifact’s comprehensive, incredible and html-ish “Trademarks and Logos” section. Scroll down some and get dirty.

Like this, this and this.

Thanks, Schille. Good eye, good eye.

Punch me in the face with this little image.

WATCHED, LATE LAST NIGHT WHILE THE REST OF THE HOUSE SLEPT: John Carpenter’s The Thing.

Tyler Stout’s take on the it. Man. Hard to put that kind of awesome into fuckin’ words, so I’ll refrain.

The Thing is one of my all time favourite movies

I was just talk’n about The Thing with my neighbor the other day. So rad. Carpenter classic.

John Carpenter’s contribution to film is often criminally overlooked. Consider his 80s holy trinity: The Thing, Escape from New York, and Big Trouble in Little China.
Big Trouble is, admittedly, lighter fare but still rock solid.

hey, I think that is a burning torch, not a triton thing.
