Needing more color in the day. I’d love to show you the look-n-feel of the mag I’m working on, but that shit is sorta top-secret. Or something. It’s got some “color spectrum action” going on. Just the right amount. It’s not a rainbow. It’s a spectrum. - - - - A STOP HERE IS ALWAYS IN ORDER, WHEN THE “MORE COLOR” THING IS CALLED FOR: Andy Gilmour. A master of the colorwheel. Seriously. Get in there and get to clickin’ around. Just what I needed. 2009 is turning out to be one hell of a year for Mr. Gilmour. Bravo, man! - - - - OUR THOUGHTS, EXACTLY: Come Wednesday, we’ll be ridin’ high in our supervan. - - - - WISH I COULD’VE BEEN THERE TO WITNESS THIS ONE: The first time “Bad Days” has been played live, in a long-ass time. See how fun that was Wayne? Pick up the guitar more often, man! - - - - NO ONE TELLS ME NOTHING: And to think, all this time, that my old Cinco buddy Chris Soli was just doing the “hardware store thing” these last couple years… Couldn’t be more wrong. He’s been shooting some incredible photos too: Chris Soli, Photographs. Great stuff, man. Serious. Very impressive. There’s just something awesome about this one. Way to go. - - - - FROM MINNEAPOLIS, WHICH IS 930 MILES FROM BOULDER: Grandpa George updates, and man, things look real good, fellas. Real good. Hell yes. - - - - FROM SAN DEE-AH-GO, A THRIVING BEACH HAMLET AT THE BOTTOM OF CALIFORNIA: Propaganda Clay comes in real nautical with this one. Good eye, man. Plus, “Supsalv” is just kinda fun to say. Hell yes. ON THE PLAYER, DIGGING INTO THE DENVER VAULTS: 01. The Fluid - Glue There Are 3 Comments

Some great mile-high music you’re spinning up up there. That 16 horsepower just gets its hooks into you real deep and creepy. The Fluid, great gritty punk. I still have “Punch n judy” on vinyl somewhere around here. Jealous as hell you’ve been up there all week, miss the old home town although it’s not quite the same place I grew up anymore. Mom still lives up in Table Mesa snugged right up under the Flatirons. Posted by: Andy on 07/29/09 at 12:21 PM
