A BAND FROM CHICAGO: Tortoise offers up a new song from their upcoming Beacons of Ancestorship album. Grab that song,. Way recommended. Played it about eight times yesterday. Great stuff. Last time I saw them was in 2004 or 2005 at the Roseland in Portland. Sat up in the balcony and really, really dug it.

SCIENTIFIC PRECISION DIAL, OR SOMETHING: The Rhythmeter, which, is a typographic wonder, and a complete mess. A handy tool for charting plumbing and cycles and what not. No wonder there was a baby boom!
