NO TELLS ME NOTHING: I completely missed this one when it came around in 2007. 50 designers/artists using Helvetica. Some cool stuff in there. That’s where today’s image is from. Hope that doesn’t bum anyone out. GODDAMN VIGNELLI: Here’s another Vignelli Flickr collection, this time from the good people of Graphical All Stars. Thank you. - - - - BEAST PIECES IN THE WILDERNESS, AND WILDERNESS ON BEAST PIECES: “One card for three people.” Very proud of these. We’ve been in the shop for 15 months. It took us 14 months to make the goddamn card. 10 months to put the goddamn sticker on the goddamn door. We plan on launching our goddamned official web site in mid 2014. Goddammit. (Who’s got time for that shit?!) - - - - WE DIG: A great one by someone who goes by the Flickr name of “Diagonal Sleeper.” I smell Winnipeg all over this one. - - - - THE OPEN ROAD IS ALWAYS CALLING: “Agility Nut.” I like the sound of that. Here’s the Flickr stream with that title. I don’t know what I like more, their maps or the photos taken out there? The maps, no matter how rudimentary are so fascinating to me, as, I’m not freaking out over the graphics, more, the routes and what I’ve missed, etc. I like that feeling of, “Hey I know that stretch of road…” Heck yes. So go for a spin on their “PacNW Trip: Aug/Sept 2008” tour. Man, I’ve been right here so many goddamn times. Ahhh, Portland. Should went a little farther north in Michigan to say hell to my mom and dad. Next time. One hell of a roadtrip. Through the motherland. That route makes me sad. I miss home. (This one was sent in by Streger out there in Colorado.) - - - - YOU CAN GO TWO WAYS ON THIS ONE: 1,591 reasons to keep going, or 1,591 reason to quit right now. You choose. There Are 3 Comments

sounds like you need a real go-getter. i’ll be ready for launch in september. Posted by: derek d on 04/14/09 at 4:38 PM
Beautiful! It takes guts to make a card that simple. Restrained design, well-printed — that makes me happy. I’m pocketing Studio on Fire for later… Posted by: abberdab on 04/15/09 at 11:06 AM
