Big S is dead as a doornail. I finally got him jumped and charged up, and tried like hell to warm him up, only to realize after shoveling for some 30 minutes that there wasn’t an iota of hot air coming out of those vents. Great. Bad heater core? Clogged lines? Something even worse? He’s in the shop right now and I’m on fuckin’ pins and needles waiting for the verdict. Might just need a “flush of the heater core” or something, and that’ll be it. Might be worse. Fuck. Cold as hell here. Not much else going on. Oh wait, yeah, one more. Turns out the “Ice Storm of the Century” fell on the Northwest, and Portland and Seattle are under three feet of ice or something. Leigh’s flight back home was cancelled, and she’s been put through the Holidaze travel grinder the last couple days. Best she could get was a flight to Detroit, so it looks like I’ll be braving the roads down there to grab the gal. Happy Holi-daze. - - - - 7:37PM UPDATE: Leigh just got on a flight out of Seattle, headed to Minneapolis, with a slim chance of catching the flight to Traverse City later tonight. Hell yes. Fingers are crossed. If she misses the flight, plans are drawn up to stay the night at Ft. Ryno’s in Minneapolis. Poor girl.

my sister lives in portland and had a flight to san diego on saturday. flight got canceled and so she rebooked and hopped on a flight to seattle as well. but then got stuck there for three days and had to sleep in the airport and stand in 12 hour lines. crazy. she finally got home tonight. my best wishes to leigh. i hope she makes it out of there!!!
