The new Union Binding Co. catalog is out there and working hard! I posted the cover above for a couple reasons. It’s just about October so I’m experiencing a particularly nasty case of “Orange Fever” the last couple days, and, secondly, I’m just damn proud of it. You can see it, and some spreads and what not in the updated Union case study in our work section. Go easy on us. - - - - RACK ‘EM UP: “Custom Cue Brochures” from long ago. So good. Check out the color of the photo, and the nice type down below. Add this one to my “Things I Gotta Do Before I Kick The Bucket” List: “Breaking a pool cue over a guy’s back.” Just once. Preferably Ryno, back in Minneapolis, on his home turf. - - - - MORE PROOF, PEOPLE: Get to know our pal Dustin Ortiz. And get a load of his hat! Proud as hell to know an upcoming kid is has his head protected by the good foam of the DDC. - - - - MUCH TO BE LEARNED HERE: “ABC Verlag” - - - - FROM DAVE AT GRAIN EDIT: “Great score with the Tokyo International Trade Fair ticket. It was designed by Yusaku Kamekura. He’s pretty much the Paul Rand of Japan.” Here’s what he was referring to from a couple days back. Now we know. Thanks so much, man. - - - - ONE FROM WELSH: The Lewco Electric Co. way down there in Southern California. Some nice type there. Wow. Dig those wicked serifs. There Are 3 Comments
I swear, every time you design something I feel that much closer to giving up on design. My jealousy is crippling. Every one of your designs is awesome and it’s driving up the fucking wall. Argh… Posted by: erat on 09/23/08 at 12:40 PM
