Got all sorts of shit on the radar: 01. Planning up the 2008 DDC Almost Summer Get-Together. 06. Rolling up the sleeves for Chunklet on a couple projects. 11. Sorta welcoming Spring’s warmer temps. Winter, don’t leave. 16. Beating the tar out of Nakamoto in our dice wars. - - - - I’ll be damned if this link to a bunch of old Heuer watch catalogs didn’t completely derail my so-called “workday.” Fuck it. Not a bad way to go. - - - - Lifehacker has a Battle of the Designer Notebooks going on today, and I’ll be damned if we aren’t getting flat out whooped in the voting. But hey, every vote we get fills our hearts with pride. Many thanks. We make little notebooks in America. Pretty proud about just that. - - - - There Are 2 Comments
Got a method for teaching Gary to roll over. I taught a 12 year old lab to do it (thus proving false the old “Can’t teach an old dog new tricks” adage). First, you’re gonna need some type of treat. Sounds like cheating, but screw the nay sayers. Hopefully, you already have got him to lay down on command. If not, work on that first. Next, hold the treat in your right hand and move it behind his left ear. Move it behind his head. His love of sweet rewards will let his head follow and force his body to continue through. Gary’s pipe-like shape should make it easy. Keep doing this for a while (week or two) and maybe even familiarize him w/ a hand signal whenever you do it. Pretty soon, you won’t need a treat and yo can just use the hand signal. You still might wanna give one every now and then though. Hope it works. Let me know!
