Harry out in Sweden sent me a link to some vintage shots of that big bridge being built. That bridge is in our blood, like any good Michigander. They are pretty protective with their images, you know, with copyright info all over the place and shit, but, you get the idea. I walked that bridge on Labor Day in 1986. With ny Central Lake buddy Brent Coaster. Looking down through the grate, some 200 feet, you get this weird vortex feeling thing where you sort of misstep and look all sense of space. Almost like walking on air or something. Weird. I remember having to “not look down” while we walked across. - - - - REALLY RECOMMENDED: Great World of Sound There Are 3 Comments
Great World Of Sound looks kickass! I read about it late last year, tried to organize a road trip of fellow midwest based producers to head to Minneapolis for the early showings, but we couldn’t quite pull it off. :( Did you see it? Well, you’re recommending it, that’s a good sign. Might just place an order for it on disc. Heh. Posted by: Daniel Holter on 02/10/08 at 2:05 PM
