Got up in western Illinois this morning and got to driving, backroads on Highway 6 and went for some ways before the country turned into suburbia. Small town after small town. Grain elevator, some nondescript buildings and a Casey’s General Store. Every little town has a Casey’s General Store now. Kinda sad, if you ask me. We had planned on hitting Chicago for a couple hours, but, saw some gridlock in the distance and just kept on going, all the way past the city, through Gary and around the horn and back up north to Traverse City. Once we got past Michigan City, things opened up and we hammered all the way back. No incidents. - - - - David Kaylow, join us in our fight! He gave Field Notes the most gracious review on the Kaylow Media site, and man, I am glowing. - - - - Chad Wright give Field notes a glowing review, and man, we find ourselves so proud. - - - - It’s just paper and staples. That’s all. But it comes from a good source. From good people. I hope, at least, for my own sake. I made something with my own two hands, and used sources that are close to home, defying all “business sense” as far as profit margins and economy are concerned. We were more interested in just “making something good” that could be shared with a lot of people. And it’s happening, and, well, many, many thanks go out to folks like David Kaylow and Chad Wright for buying American and believing in us. We are just getting going. Heck yes. Comments
