Just catching up on all the loose ends before the Kansas City mission on Tuesday.

Leigh and I are heading down to see those Flaming Lips in the big city Kansas City. Do a bottoms tour, slap a high five with Stiffler and whatever else we can squeeze in around the city.

The stuff to and fro is ripe with possibility. That’s a good stretch of Midwest to cover there. On the way down, we’ll whip past Chicago, through Springfield, through St. Louis, and over to KC. On the way back, well, it might involve some sort of mission up into Iowa or something.

Got to see cousin Colleen from Calumet this afternoon From way up north. She was doing a little business down in Grand Rapids and dropped her 8-year-old Addison off for some time with the parents.

Everything good this little guy has ever learned will be promptly forgotten at the hands of my dad.

Watched as intense documentary last night called, Children of God: Lost and Found. This Californian kid escapes the clutches of a misguided, dangerous cult and goes back to interview his family, friends and fellow members. Insane.

It’s just amazing what people will allow themselves to do in the name of “Jesus.” Wow. Utopian excess gone wrong, with lifelong damages to children involved. Superstition, gone real bad. Scary.
