Got a big weekend ahead of us. Binding specs, board graphics, logos and some moving of the gear downstairs to the new-and-improved DDC Factory Floor. - - - - Shanta passed on this link, after falling in love with her paintings each time she’d go to her local coffee shop here in Portland: Jessica Bonin. - - - - Big night out: Joined Sherowski down at the LaurelThirst to sit on Coyle’s new band, Music Arcade. Honkytonking goodness. Recommended. - - - - Local Portland shred rockers Red Fang here in Portland are going on a nationwide tour with The Fucking Champs pretty soon, and they’ll be outiftted with Field Notes for the whole band to scratch down mileage, lyrics, bail bond numbers and escape routes. Rock. Really. Shred yer face off. Way to go, David! Give ‘em hell out there! - - - - Shook hands over a quote for 10,000 Field Notes today. Heck yes. Very soon. The amazing Ann Frank of Think*Plan*Deliver will be handling the printing, kitting and initial shipment of this run out to Chicago to the Coudal Partners North May shipping facilities. Real excited. - - - - Speaking of honkytonkin’ swing, get a load of Traverse City’s own Rusty Blaides. I did a t-shirt graphic for Mark a year back and man, this album keeps popping up on my iTunes shuffle and then I have to listen to the whole thing a couple times. So good. - - - - REQUIRED READING: Kurtie passed on this Wilco interview. A really good read. - - - - CONFIRMED: Plane tickets for mom, dad, sarah and my new friend Leigh from Michigan out to Portland in a couple weeks. Seriously. The first time our whole family will be in Oregon together. - - - - Took on some Absinthe Films work today with Hostynek and Brusti. Pretty honored to be helping these guys out this summer. These guys don’t make snowboard movies, they make films. A big difference. There Are 2 Comments
