BIG DAY OUT: Heading up to Seattle today to catch a Mariners game with a bunch of clients. Three to be exact. Union, Coal and Grenade. Phew. Quite a mess. 180 miles up. 180 miles down. Dammit.

Mariner logos over the years have gotten progressively suckier. Rats.

Jared Eberhardt is hard at work on more mini-sets, characters and moving pictures: Here’s another one.

Could watch this one over and over again.

LITTLE_FIELD_NOTE_ICON.gif Get over to PJ’s site while the gettin’ is good. He’s got some pretty funny quotes and Field Notes drawings from our Hoss, Hoss and Hoss Appalachia Tour. They give you a sense of the hate and vitriol we all feel for each other on the road, off the road, and in life. Fuckers.

I’d like to see the science behind “rainforest-killing soy products.” If they’re cutting them down to plant soybeans (never heard of that before), it’s probably to feed them to animals. It takes between 5-20x more land/water/energy to raise animals for food than it does plants, since the plant matter has to be funneled through animals and most of it becomes shit, which, as a bonus, pollutes the waterways.

The US could grow enough food to feed the whole country in a fraction of its landmass if people didn’t eat meat, so the rainforests, the shrinking water table (scary), and to a large extent reliance on foreign oil would be a moot point.
