We are working all day. Getting out of Traverse City tomorrow and heading south down to Detroit Motor City. My birthplace. Grand River and Stout. Got some business to attend to there with a wintery magazine I am very proud of. - - - - Bought a ticket outta Indianapolis to a tolerant Western city called, “Portland.” March 19-25. Meeting the Union folks there to think up new bindings for the 08/09 snowboarderable season. Help: Leah, please get my pile of mail ready for obliteration. - - - - Required viewing: The MC5 and their “Rambling Rose.” Like, don’t freak out, man. Never, ever gonna be duplicated. Never. Get a load of Kramer’s little james Brown shuffle maneuver. - - - - For Cinti optimists: Wireandtwine’s Cincinnati Transit Map. So good. - - - - Panic in Germany, Panic in Portland: Are dachshunds on the way out? (Thanks, Mr. O’Keefe.) - - - - The Optimism of Modernity: Feel it. Fantastic MC5 link! Was a highlight of the evening - thanks. And, to give one (two) back…I found these last week and I keep returning to them. Mesmerizing - esp. the first. Televsion, 1978: Judas Priest, 1975: Posted by: Michelle on 03/08/07 at 12:33 AM
The Adventure People rule. I remember throwing the parachute guy out of my second story bedroom window. The folks have a box of adventure people in the attic. Met up with Capozzi and Coulter for a good day of snowboarding and skateboarding. We are bringing you out of retirement when you get back. Have fun and tell the TC gang hello for me. Be safe.
